All questions

Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist?

No. In New Zealand you can book directly with a physiotherapist without seeing a GP first. That includes ACC-covered injuries: we can lodge the ACC claim for you at your first appointment.

Draft answer to be confirmed by the clinic.

Does ACC cover physiotherapy?

Yes, if your injury was caused by an accident. Coast Physio is an ACC accredited provider, so ACC pays a contribution towards each treatment and you pay a surcharge for the balance. We lodge the claim for you, so there is no paperwork to do before you arrive.

Draft answer to be confirmed by the clinic.

How much does an appointment cost?

Fees depend on whether your treatment is ACC-funded or private, and on the length of the appointment. Please phone the clinic on 03 928 0352 for current prices. (Silas to confirm the fees to publish.)

Draft answer to be confirmed by the clinic.

How long does an appointment take?

Your initial consultation includes a full assessment and usually takes 45 minutes to an hour. Follow-up appointments are typically 30 minutes. (Silas to confirm.)
